The Process

At OAK FILM CO, we believe the key to a successful video project is clear communication and a solid plan from the very start. One of the most common questions we hear is, “How does the process work?” Below is a quick overview of our typical workflow so you know exactly what to expect.

1. Defining Your Scope

Every project starts with understanding your vision. Are you looking for a quick social media clip that can be shot in a couple of hours, or a more in-depth brand video that requires multiple interviews and days on set? The scope—length, complexity, location, and style—will ultimately guide the budget and timeline. Once we’ve had an initial conversation to nail down your goals, we’ll provide a clear estimate based on the scope we define together.

2. The Questionnaire

Next, we’ll send you a short questionnaire to gather more detailed information about your brand, audience, and specific needs. This helps us ensure the final video aligns perfectly with your messaging and objectives.

3. Pre-Production Planning

With the questionnaire in hand, we’ll pick a shoot day and map out concepts and shot lists. We’ll collaborate with you to fine-tune the creative vision and prepare everything needed to have a smooth shoot.

4. Production Day

On the scheduled day(s), our team arrives on time, fully equipped, and ready to capture your story. We’ll stick to the plan we agreed upon, but we’re also flexible enough to adapt if any exciting opportunities pop up during filming.

5. Post-Production & Revisions

After the shoot, our editors get to work. Within a couple of weeks, you’ll receive a draft of your video. At this stage, you have the opportunity to provide feedback, and we include one free round of revisions to fine-tune everything.

6. Final Delivery

Once any requested changes are made, we’ll deliver your final video files in the format(s) you need. From there, it’s ready to share with the world—whether it’s on your website, social media channels, or a big launch event.
